The Children of
"In the year of the 60th anniversary of Roma, Open City, we have taken a stroll through the places and memories of the film, together with its only remaining eyewitness, Vito Annicchiarico, who played the part of Anna Magnani’s son, Marcello. Walking with Vito through Rome we also meet: Marcella De Marchis Rossellini, the director's first wife, Renzo Rossellini, Roberto Rossellini's son, film producer, Tag Gallagher, film expert and author of the book "Rossellini", the sons of Aldo Venturini, the film's producer… These interviews are interwoven with images from the film, as well as other archival film footage, to recount an Italy still trembling from the war, in which love for filmmaking created an artistic miracle."
