Dwayne Morgan: The Man Behind the Mic
Literature Alive is a 26-part documentary series that profiles Caribbean-Canadian authors and follows the evolution of Caribbean heritage fiction from the 1960s through to the hip-hop generation. In The Man Behind the Mic, we watch young poet/promoter/producer Dwayne Morgan tireless efforts to mount the spoken word event "When Sisters Speak", featuring some of the top new poets in Canada and the United States (including Sonya Tenee, Motion, Tamla Matthews, Mahogany Brown, Camesha Cox and Dasha Kelly).
