Ann Holstein cannot forget the story of her grandparents. A crime committed more than a century ago and never punished. Her grandparents were major figures of the European avant-garde of the 1890s. They inspired many artists, Edouard Munch among them. She was the Norwegian writer and musician Dagny Juel. He was the famous Polish writer and ideologist Stanislaw Przybyszewski. Zenon, their son, was only five years old when he witnessed the murder of his mother in a hotel room in Tbilisi, Georgia, in 1901.
