In Feb. 2005, the third Urban Dance Festival took place in Toulouse. 20 years after the beginnings of French hip-hop, dancers from all across France, Germany and Morocco came to represent the current movement in all its richness. For several weeks, this film followed the dancers and choreographers during rehearsals and recorded their latest dance pieces, revealing the creative dimensions of this form of expression. The excitement of the young generations and the existence of many groups of dancers, who don’t come only from the suburbs, demonstrate the public’s interest in this street art.
