Liviu Ciulei is a multifaceted man of stage and screen. He has worked in Romania, Europe, the United States and Australia as a director, an actor and designer. He won the directing prize at the 1965 Cannes Film Festival for his film, The Lost Forest. This documentary focuses on his work as film and theater scenographer. His colossal work reflects the evolution of the theater in the second half of the 20th century. The designs and photos of his theater and opera productions, as well as interviews, attest to his more than 50 years of artistic activity.
