Bar Code takes you inside Portuguese prisons and tries to describe the relationship between wardens and inmates. This journey will cover the world of Pinheiro da Cruz and Tires, the largest women's prison in the country. Sentenced to living together, prisoners and wardens quickly learn to know each other. Close relationships are established without ever becoming friends. They're in opposite fields, separated by the boundaries of key and cell. How does a warden react to verbal and physical abuse? What image does the warden have of the prisoner, and he of the warden? Bar Code tries to answer this question without offering certainties, because in prison the truth is always in what is not said.
