Claude Regy, la brûlure du monde
A portrait of an exceptional artist, Claude Régy, who in a career spanning more than 50 years has oriented his theatrical research in two directions: the renunciation of classical norms—sets, costumes, psychology, characterizations—and the refuge, along with his actors, in the space with invisible contours of writing. For the world premiere of Comme un chant de David, Régy discusses the nature of his work, and the rapport between reality and imagination, true and false, matter and emptiness. We find him in what he calls his “state of uncertainty.”
