Cineastas en AcciónFilmmakers in Action
Filmmakers in Action further develops the line started with Filmmakers vs. Tycoons, starting with a surprising statement by Salvador Dalí, which is followed by the forceful interventions of a number of filmmakers defending their Moral Right. Also featured in the film is the Paris courtroom case for the defence of John Huston’s Moral Rights, which followed the showing of a coloured version of one of his films, a similar trial in Copenhagen, caused by the broadcasting on Danish state TV of a pan-and-scan version of a widescreen film by Sydney Pollack, and yet a further one in Stockholm, brought about by the claims of two Swedish filmmakers against the TV showing of their films with commercial breaks.
