On 1 September 2004, Chechen separatist terrorists seized a school in the remote North Ossetian town of Beslan. Three days later, a gun battle between the hostage-takers and Russian security forces ended in the brutal massacre of over 300 people, including many children. In this moving documentary, young survivors, who lost friends and relatives in appalling circumstances, recall the siege and the desperate weeks that followed, sharing their thoughts on politics, religion and the “war on terror”.
