Béla Bartok, l'homme juste
From 1905 to 1917, Béla Bartok was one of the first to take a phonograph to record folk music. He called folklore his “mother tongue.” This film deals with those who today remember this collecting work. Through the remarks of musicians and musicologists, the documentary allows us to understand how his intimate knowledge of folk melodies helped Bartok create a new, contemporary and universal Hungarian music.
