Bajazet

Before going off to conquer Babylon, Sultan Amurazt appoints his wife Roxane to have his brother Bajazet killed. But Roxane loves Bajazet and will spare his life if he accepts to lead a rebellion and marry her. Bajazet is confronted with the choice of marrying Roxane and living, or continuing to love Atalide, Amurat’s cousin, and surely dying.
