Aratta, à l'aube des civilisations

In 2001 in southeast Iran, the dramatic flooding of the river Halil Roud revealed the traces of a civilization of the Iranian plateau unknown to this day. This discovery could challenge the commonly held theory that civilizations were born in a single hub located in Mesopotamia. Professor Madjidzadeh, a world-rank Iranian archeologist, was appointed to inventory objects and direct the excavations. He is convinced these are the vestiges of the mythical kingdom of Aratta, mentioned in four Sumerian legends. This film records the first chapters of a discovery crucial to the history of mankind.
