In 2001 in southeast Iran, the dramatic flooding of the river Halil Roud revealed the traces of a civilization of the Iranian plateau unknown to this day. This discovery could challenge the commonly held theory that civilizations were born in a single hub located in Mesopotamia. Professor Madjidzadeh, a world-rank Iranian archeologist, was appointed to inventory objects and direct the excavations.
