Tokyo blues et sushis confits
She’s one of the most gifted chefs of her generation. In Bordeaux, Geneva, Osaka, New York, Kyoto — everywhere, everyone wants her talents. Her name is Fumiko. “Fumi” can be translated as ”flavors” in Japanese. This film is about the creating, the quest for perfection and the solitude of the artist; a film about pleasure and taste centering on a family secret as mysterious as a crosswalk. A long-term documentary filmed over the period of a year between Tokyo and Paris, like a passageway between two worlds. For Fumiko, cooking is an endless road.
