The Three Sisters of Jing Di Village
The Three Sisters of Jingdi Village is about a small mountain village named Jingdi in the Taihang Mountains. For centuries people in this village has been isolated from the outside world, and life for them has been the same generation after generation. Recent years saw the changes in the village. In pursuit of a better life, most men in the village have gone to the cities, leaving their wives and other women staying at home. Every change from 1999 to 2003 in the village has been captured like the local custom of Nuwa, the Goddess in the ancient Chinese legend and how people prepare for Spring Festival. Actually Jingdi Village is a miniature museum of the folklore and tradition of China, presenting you a vivid picture of how local customs has been changing in the countryside of China.
