The Hill

A contemporary, revisionary fable about Jack and Jill and what really happened on the hill. Jill suspects that there may have been more to the fall than Jack claims, and determines to uncover the truth. Past and present become intertwined as they reconstruct the fall, and it soon becomes clear that Jack has his story, Jill has her story, and neither and both are true. Their inability to uncover the truth, or attribute any fixed meaning to truth, leads to a final division and they part with separate conclusions—Jill convinced that Jack raped her, and Jack outraged by the accusation.
