The Israeli occupation of south Lebanon, lasted 22 years. 9,000 men and women were held and tortured in the Israeli detention centers of Ansar and Khiam. A large number of released detainees suffer from chronic or dangerous ailments, as a result of torture and mistreatment. Two generations of Palestinian pioneering women. Through the ex-prisoner Kifah Afifi, and her experience in Khiam Prison in South Lebanon, we discover the famous poet Fadwa Tukan, her experience in the prison of her family and Samiha Khalil who incessantly fought for justice, peace and human rights.
