The program originates from a conversation at teatime with Antoni Tàpies and his wife Teresa, as in a ceremony that partakes of both the mundane and sacred. Using this ritual as an excuse, the camera established a complicity which breaks the distance between the artist and the public and leads us into his space – from the everyday to the artistic, from the physical to the metaphysical – his studio, his library, his artistic roots, his beginnings and his thoughts. It is a most private, intimate ceremony which also includes some of the people who know him best, presenting a mixture of places, moments and periods of his life and work.
