Tchissete, the Mirror of the Tuaregs

As we were, in fact...” The film’s voiceover is provided by the filmmaker, who describes his experiences in a Tuareg community in the Nigerian Sahel. Traveling with a friend, he filmed and photographed his encounters in this community which was becoming sedentary. First, the Tuaregs speak of themselves, their problems, then turn to us to acknowledge our presence in their midst. What can we, with our cameras, bring them? The mirror. When they speak of us...
