Algeria, 1957. Paratroop Lieutenant Moher finds its increasingly difficult to fulfill his mission as an interrogator. When he receives orders to question a young Algerian resistence fighter, Moher feels he lacks the strength; he is worn out. In the face of the young woman’s silence, Moher must reluctantly resort to extremes. But the fellaga won’t talk. Moher is ordered by his superior officer to take her out to a remote spot of the Algerian countryside and execute her. Alone with this woman, but most of all alone with himself, Moher decides to let her get away. Three months later, Moher is seated on a café terrace when he recognizes the young woman. She is sitting two tables away from him. Their eyes meet...
