An inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the death of Afghanistan’s Northern Alliance leader. For long months, the filmmakers tried to reconstitute both the itinerary of the killers, disguised as journalists, and the last days of the “Lion of Panjshir” through rare video tapes. The film takes us from Tunisia to Afghanistan via France, Belgium, England and Pakistan as it follows the errant path of these two students who opted for fundamentalism and completed their suicide mission: the assassination of commander Massoud.
