Publico / Privado

Public / Private

Buenos Aires on a hot summer night. Soledad leaves her boyfriend’s house and cycles back home. At the same time, two ambulances, one private, one public, and a green Ford Falcon are driving through the city. They are to determine Soledad’s destiny. The film was written in the first week of 2002, when Argentina had no government. The euphoria bred by events of December 10th 2001 had given way to a void, in the streets as well as in people's hopes. Rather than tell of precise events, this story tries to recreate the mood of those days.
