After five years, Marko return to his home village in a secluded rural region in northern Serbia. He has come to see Anja and ask her to forgive him. Marko is obsessed and tormented by memories and we slowly find out the reason for his long absence. He tries to establish a new trust with Anja, but the atmosphere in the village is unbearably tense. Very few people are please to see him. He finds hostility at every turn, is threatened and even attacked to pressure him to leave. But for Marko, one thing is clear: he is not going to go alone.
