Pourquoi as-tu fait ça ?
Maud Linder lived through personal tragedy. Her father, the famous film comedian Max Linder, committed suicide after having killed his wife. Maud was only sixteen months old at the time and only learned the truth when she was 20. It took her a long time, a very long time, during which she devoted herself to preserving her father’s films, before she would feel up to speaking to Guy Seligmann’s camera and look back on this tragedy in order to draw some conclusions about suicide prevention. Maud Linder went to the Lycée Max Linder in Libourne to talk to teenagers affected by suicide. But suicide, unfortunately, doesn’t only concern adolescents. Misunderstood and considered commonplace, because it is often associated with illness and aging, suicide by people over 65 is also on the rise.
