Panamarenko, la magie de l'artPanamarenko, the Magic of Art
Panamarenko is one of the leading figures in the Belgian art world. He quickly became a singular individual too special interest in nature, science and technology. His “tinkerings” with motors and electronics gave him the idea of rendering the beauty of technique, not by building functional machines but by showing the logical possibilities contained in a deliberate assembly of materials and parts. This approach is the source of his work’s visionary, utopian and poetic character which assume forms as various as those of flying saucers, flying carpets, zeppelins and prehistoric birds. This film follows Panamarenko at work for an entire year.
