Mozi ZongoráraMovie for Piano
We usually give little time or attention to the minor events of everyday life, those moments capable of revealing the world in a nutshell. But that has been what newsreel filmmakers have done all along: disclose a world by filming these minor incidents. The director uses Bela Bartók’s Microcosmos to underline a borderline experimental film that draws on archival footage on the tragedies of Hungarian history and blends it with one of the most representative musical works of the 20th century.
