Moccasin Flats
When the remains of an unidentified Native man are excavated at the site of a new community centre, an investigation is launched and many of the residents of Moccasin Flats are forced to confront personal demons from the past. The unburied secret and the brutal real time of living in the hood threaten Dillon and his chances of escaping "The Flats" to attend university and pursue his dream of becoming a basketball star. Dillon soon becomes the target of a childhood friend, Jonathan, who is now the local gang leader and pimp, when he falls in love with one of Jonathan’s girls, Sarah. Overcome with adversity and dire circumstances, Dillon must look deep within himself and learn what it means to be a real Indian, to walk the path of his ancestors and make them proud.
