May 33rd
Ella is trying to escape her "family", a small group of relatives and friends who have ritually abused her since her childhood. She is one thirty-five and becomes emotionally drawn to Edward, an osteopath who she visits to relieve the pains in her body. He is a kindly, sensitive man who has a wife and small child. When she decides that she can trust him, she tells him of her secret world. Osteopathy is the study and repair of body tissue which can hold the memory of physical drama, so, when Edward applies pressure to certain parts of Ella’s body, it triggers her into different personalities. Through this experience, Edward learns to believe the almost unbelievable: that what Ella is telling him is the truth. Ella is so relieved to be believed that she gets into her mind that Edward is the only man in the world who can save her.
