Mau par Mo
The first one is called M(au)rice Medioni, a Jewish musician from Oran, the second is M(o)hammed Fellag, a Kabyl comedian. This film is about the meeting between these two Algerian artists. Today both live in France, having had to leave their country — one 30 years after the other. But for both, the memory of the lost homeland, the evocation of the halcyon days (1930s-50s), when Jews, Muslims and Christians worked together on the same shows, the same songs, is a source of inspiration. This film invites us to share in it.
