Le Hilliard Ensemble chante Pérotin
This music film deals with Pérotin’s work as performed by the famous Hilliard Ensemble, one of the most sophisticated vocal groups around. The concert was shot, among other sites, in an Austrian cathedral build by Cistercian monks. The setting is pure, without ornamentation. The filmmaker uses these naked walls like screens on which to project images. A kind of animated fresco whose volume is formed by sculptures.
