La Verdadera Historia de los falsos DalísDalí, the True Story of the Fakes
Salvador Dalí managed to turn himself into a whole industry. But the “Dalí Factory” started to fail at the peak of Dalí’s fame, just when the art market asked for more works than he was able to produce. Blank sheets, watercolors and oil canvases painted by other artists, but signed by Dalí, kept the art factory moving with the help of four secretaries that were in charge of the artist’s business affairs: Captain John Peter Moore, journalist Enrique Sabater, aristocrat Jean-Claude Du Barry, and photographer Robert Descharnes. In this documentary, they talk about these facts for the first time.
