Jinsei AmakaneeyoDon't Think Life is So Easy
"His stage direction is almost like a magic". This is how Yukio Ninagawa, a Japanese stage director, is commented in England, a home of the Shakespeare's plays. The film follows during 40 days the production process of Yukio Ninagawa's latest work: Titus Andronicus written by Shakespeare. A rehearsal hall has become a battleground for the director and actors, and there Ninagawa shoots words one after another like a rapid fire gun. Music used in his drama is made while rehearsing. This is the Ninagawa style. Therefore musicians have to improvise tunes. The time given to compose a tune is only one minute. Here another battle between the director and musicians exists.
