Franco e Salazar
Salazar and Franco had parallel lives and supported each other mutually, being the frontmen for two regimes, which, for decades, coexisted in time and only disappeared after each other’s demise. This documentary follows the historical path of both Iberian neighbours, based on the utmost rigorous researches of images of the time from Portuguese, Spanish, French, United Kingdom and United States archives, on testimonials of contemporaries or, in some cases, even of people who worked closely to the two dictators (as Manuel Fraga, Minister of Information for Franco’s government, or Adriano Moreira, Minister of the Ultramar of Salazar), and also based on historians’ statements, among which Paul Preston, who is considered the most important biographer of Franco in our days.
