Florence Delay comme un portraitFlorence Delay Like a Portrait
A multi-faceted portrait of the famous but secret writer. Between the words of Joan, as spoken by Florence Delay in Robert Bresson’s Trial of Joan of Arc (1962), passages from her novels and essays and the words of John the Evangelist, which she translated, her life is crossed by the colors of words, the spirit of acting and the breath of faith. Since her film experience with Bresson, she has explored the theatre work (TNP with Vilar, Wilson, Vitez), novels, essays, translations of Spanish authors, the French Academy, collaboration with the poet Jacques Roubaud on Graal Théâtre… This film is based on the intimate correspondences between portrait and model. The film also can be seen in two parts : Les Prairies intérieures (The inner meadows) and Face à l’autre (Towards the other).
