Acclaimed on the international jazz scene, the Austrian brothers Wolfgang and Christian Muthspiel have been performing as a duo for more than 20 years. For their new record, they accepted the proposal of the Swiss filmmaker Pierre-Yves Borgeaud: to return to the source of their vocation by evoking the music that they grew up with, their itinerary, as well as their relations with their father, who died three years ago. Mixing live recordings, interviews and Super-8 films, Family Music tells a simple but powerful story that examines the link between life and musical creation.
