Dimensió DalíThe Dalí Dimension
Salvador Dalí had an obsession for science that lasted his entire life. This can be seen in his paintings, which reflect every major discovery of the 20th Century. Dalí read scientific literature compulsively, from psychoanalysis to quantum mechanics, and mathematics to genetics. Moreover, he strove all his life to meet relevant scientists: Sigmund Freud, James D. Watson (co-discoverer of the structure of DNA, Nobel prize 1962), Ilya Prigogine (Nobel prize chemistry 1977), Severo Ochoa (Nobel prize physiology 1959). He befriended researchers in physics, mathematics, biology and other disciplines, with whom he could have meaningful discussions at the crossroads of art and science.
