The protagonists of this documentary, Praljak, Goran and Safet, share their stories about life, war and death around the old bridge of Mostar – and about the meaning and resurrection of the world-famous monument Mostari. From the earliest research into lost ancient techniques and the original materials in the autumn of 2000 until the inauguration of the new bridge in July 2004, the filmmakers followed the reconstruction, interweaving it with the portraits of the three protagonists. One question is central: will the reconstruction of the bridge reunite the people in East and West Mostar, the Christians and Muslims who fought against each other during the war?
