Madam Liu has had a passion for aviculture since her childhood. In 1997, when she was 68, she got hold of a 10-kilo piglet. During the first year, and thanks to her careful breeding, its weight increased to 363 kilos, the year after, 590 kilos. The old lady’s reputation spread as the pig got fatter. The pig continued to grow and now weighed more than a ton. Madam Liu was faced with several problems: how to find enough money to pay for the 20 kilos of daily feed? Can you sell a pig that old? In 2003, the pig was seven years old, and Madam Liu, 74. The pig continues to grow and the situation is exasperating.
