Colomba
1815. Lydia Neuville joins her father on one of his edifying trips. This time, they go to Corsica. During the crossing, Lydia meets Lieutenant Orso Della Rebbia. Just demobilized, he is returning to his homeland, two years after the death of his father, who was murdered by a bandit. Lydia quickly imagines that the handsome officer carrying “the weight of destiny” on his shoulders and that he is going home to seek revenge. She decides she is going to prevent the irremediable, especially as she is attracted to him. In Corsica, a young woman comes to meet Orso. She is Colomba, his younger sister. Unlike her brother, she is convinced a neighbor murdered their father. She demands vengeance to restore family honor.
