Camp Casablanca
Camp Casablanca narrates the experiences of a group of Swiss soldiers serving during a 6-month mission with the Swiss contingent of the international peace troops KFOR. The volunteers of the Swiss troops are neither professional soldiers nor collaborators of international relief organizations with international experience. They are workers or employees finding themselves coping with a reality which has nothing in common with their own. By means of these experiences, the documentary film Camp Casablanca tries to reflect the complexity of the situation in the Balkans today. At the same time, Switzerland is being observed from a vantage point, which is emblematic of the tensions in the international political situation.
