Augenleuchten
Wastl is eleven and a little disturbed. Franziska is seventeen and different from the rest. When the pair meet they get along immediately. Neither of them has a mother: Wastl’s died a year ago and Franziska who lives with adoptive parents, does not know her real mother. An extraordinary, albeit unusual friendship and love develops between the two. The village people are not pleased about the relationship: they try to separate them. They both resist, each in a different way and their friendship undergoes a tough test but the grown-ups do not succeed in bringing the two rebels to their knees. Wastl and Franziska win the battle even if they do have to part in the end. It is a story about friendship, love, the loss of a mother and growing up.
