Alerte canicule

August 2003: the hottest month ever in France, and the deadliest. Within 15 days, record temperatures caused an unprecedented health disaster: 14,802 direct victims of the heat were officially recorded. What happened during the month of August? Could we have foreseen and avoided all those deaths? How can intense heat suddenly imperil our health? How can we protect ourselves against the heat? The film offers some answers in interviews with doctors, politicians, meteorologists as well as those who suffered from the heat wave.
