Zwei Tage Hoffnung
The German Kaminski family are separated by the Berlin Wall, some in the East, the others in the West. Helmut, the son, lives in the West and is a journalist with the RIAS radio station in the American sector. Just before the events of June 17, he has an appointment at the border of the Russian and American sectors with an informer from the East who is supposed to provide him with information and a secret list of names. But the rendezvous fails. The communist party traitor is taken away to the East before his very eyes. Meanwhile, the list of names falls into his hands. But affair takes a personal turn when he realizes that his father and brother figure on the list of politically suspect East Germans. Helmut decides to go into East Berlin and warn his family. It is a decision with grave consequences: once in the East, he is caught up in the revolt...
