Paul has succeeded in business. His irrigation system is the leader on the international market. Tonight, his son Vincent, a young piano virtuoso, is giving a single concert at the very theater where, as a very young man, he had the good fortune of giving his first recital. Paul visits his son in the dressing room. It's an occasion for Vincent to express an uneasiness that, over the years, has become insupportable.
