Tribus de Etiopia : Los Konso - Ashue y las Mujeres de la LenaEthiopian Tribes: Los Konso - Ashue and the Firewood Women
A day in the life of Ashue reflects the harsh work conditions of the Konso women, who daily must carry firewood from the fields to their villages. They walk as much as six miles over uneven terrain carrying up to 170 lbs. All Konso women participate: girls, pregnant women and even old women, their shoulders bent from years of backbreaking labor. The Konso women are known throughout Ethiopia for their extraordinary strength. The film examines the daily life of these women and the various aspects of Konso culture.
