The Man with an Opera House in his Living Room
Richard White wants to realize his dream. Nothing much happens in his English country village of Claxton but Richard is determined to bring opera to the midst of the Norfolk countryside. He has transformed his house, a former Baptist chapel into an opera house complete with balcony and orchestra pit. However, he is faced with parking regulations, health and safety concerns and complaints from his neighbours about noise and unsightly traffic signs. His wife is not too keen on her bedroom becoming a dressing room and the kitchen serving as a bar. Yet his infectious energy -at a sprightly 68 -is hard to resist as the English wrestle with Mozart and the cows get used to new sounds across the fields.
