The story of the Lumière Station, a small emergency shelter in La Ciotat for homeless persons. It describes the daily battle of those who run the shelter to create a place where warm human relationships are the priority in spite of the institutional infrastructure. The film also tells a beautiful human interest story in all its complexity, recording those sometimes comical, sometimes poignant little scenes full of sentiment, suffering, hope and life itself. First and foremost, this is a film about how we relate to and consider our fellow man and how it reflects back on us.
