Helena and Pablo live comfortably, socially speaking. They are a model couple. But Pablo wants a job at Unesco. In his ambitiousness, he appropriates research done by his wife. Their relationship grows more strained, until the day he decides to kill Helena and replace her with Sara, one of his employees. A Hungarian writer suspects something and tries to find out what happened. He learns that a crime has been committed and that Sara will be the next victim. But out of personal interests, he remains silent.
