Rwanda, un cri d'un silence inouïRwanda, a Cry of Deafening Silence
In Rwanda, nine years after the genocide of the Tutsi, the reinstatement of social life is still hindered by the sufferings of the hundred of thousands of survivors. The machetes have wielded injuries and mutilations, AIDS has been spread out through the systematic rape of women and little girls, and everywhere around, one can feel the gaping wound of traumatic suffering. After the genocide, the men and women who have tried to bring relief to post-traumatic after-effects had to find their way in absolute scarcity. This film attempts at lending an ear to their cry, while taking sides with the subjectivity of the victims, respecting the modesty of their expression and the deep humanity of their testimonies... Nine years ago, that scream was echoed only by the deafening silence of the international community.
