A short documentary shot in Puglia, a region in southern Italy, on 1 May 2003. A group of singers perform popular old songs that deal with their environment and work. Kurumuny is the locale where director Piero Cannizzaro interviewed the people who helped prepare this show. He recorded a good number of testimonies about the popular songs that evoke the life of the region's workers at several moments in history, right up to the present day, when they are still presented to the public, like an perpetual confrontation with our modern times.
