Rey Negro, der schwarze König
The story of Chilean songwriter Sergio Vesely, who has lived in exile in Germany for the past twenty years. His life and music are intimately linked. During his imprisonment under the Pinochet regime, Sergio, then 22, discovered his art and talents. With his songs, he began to triumph over torture and despair. He succeeded in building an intellectual bridge to the outside world. His songs accuse not only the dictatorship, they also express his desire to survive. Today, 30 years later, Sergio journeys back into the past, in search of all those people and places that left a mark on his life and work. A journey back to the sources of his songs.
